Company Signs OEM Deal with Zeus Technology Regensburg, Germany, May 20, 2009 – Today, Art of Defence, the leading distributed web application firewall (dWAF) provider, is seeking to partner with web infrastructure component, network security and cloud application providers serving the U.S. market. The company’s flagship software solution, Hyperguard™, is the world’s most flexible, scalable solution for web application attack detection and complete web application shielding. The dWAF is the industry’s only solution available today that enables development, testing and deployment of new application security policies without ever relaxing the established defenses or risking false positives. Available as a software plug-in, Hyperguard becomes a revenue generating module that requires little to no integration work for manufacturers of web and application servers, load balancers, reverse proxies, network firewalls, and other web infrastructure component vendors. Integrating Hyperguard extends traditional network security to the application layer, providing in particular network security vendors a more complete solution to bring to market. As the industry’s first SaaS WAF, Hyperguard SaaS extends cloud application provider services to include application security through an infrastructure as a service model. Art of Defence has also signed a partnership deal with Zeus Technology, a software-based application traffic management provider. The ZXTM Application Firewall Module is a natural extension to the Zeus product suite and allows Zeus to bring enhanced network and application level security to market in the U.S. and across Europe. “We are seeing a continual need for improved web application security, so it is critical that online services have the highest level of security,” says Paul Brennan, CEO Zeus Technology. “By integrating our purely software solution with Art of Defence’s software, we have a unique offering. Organizations can now customize their infrastructure security and protect against malicious attacks wherever they present themselves. We are delighted to be partnering with Art of Defence, to provide a future-proofed solution that can be deployed on any physical, virtual or cloud platform.” “Compliance for PCI DSS is also a major concern for companies – particularly as online payment systems become expected services in most industries. By integrating Hyperguard, technology partners will be able to offer customers a solution that meets the web application firewall requirements,” said Georg Hess, founder and CEO, Art of Defence. “The demand for cloud computing is growing beyond a simple fallback for overloaded existing infrastructure, pushing Web applications out of the classical enterprise network perimeter. This is creating a strong demand for vendors who can offer security in a cloud with little to no disruption in service or unwanted administrative hassle.” Hyperguard’s entire software architecture was carefully designed to ensure that it can be integrated as flexibly and seamlessly as possible into existing security and Web infrastructures with no disruptions or interference in service. Hyperguard adds high-level proactive security features typically not found in other WAF solutions, such as secure session management, URL encryption and a web authentication framework. By relying on a trusted security partner such as Art of Defence, vendors can add web application security to their portfolio without the overhead required to develop this important security technology.
